Earn Candles to unlock the exclusive Grim Reaper cosmetics and the Dark Forest Scenery! Only during October 2026.
The shadows have taken over! As part of the Deep Darkness Update (1.9), I am thrilled to kick off the massive October Halloween Event. If you have reached Level 5, you are ready to join in on the fun. Here is everything you need to know about the spooky festivities, exclusive rewards, and how to get your hands on them before they vanish into the night.
Spooky Main Menu Overhaul
As soon as you boot up the game, you will notice a chilling change. Throughout the entire event, the main screen has been completely transformed into the dark and spooky Darklands Scenery. To set the perfect Halloween mood, a special Spooky Theme will also be playing in the background while you navigate the menus!
Halloween Event & Halloween Merchant
From October 1st to November 1st 2026, the Halloween Event is live! Throughout October, I am changing up how Bounties work. Normally, completing Bounty tasks rewards you with Coins and Bamboo. This month, Bamboo is being temporarily replaced by a brand-new spooky currency: Candles!
Completing Bounties will now reward you with Coins and Candles. Take your hard-earned Candles to the Halloween Merchant to unlock limited-time seasonal cosmetics! Because this is a special event, the Merchant has set up a fixed Halloween line-up for the entire month of October. The shop will not refresh daily as it usually does.
Make sure to spend your Candles before the event ends! Any unused Candles will disappear from your inventory once November arrives, so do not hold onto them.
Pro-tip: Once you have earned the maximum number of Candles required to buy the entire Halloween line-up, your Bounties will automatically revert to rewarding Bamboo. This means you can still grind for regular progression once you finish the event!
Exclusive Rewards
Grim Reaper Profile Icon
A Seasonal Exclusive icon that is yours to keep all year round. Only unlockable during the Halloween Event!
Dark Forest Scenery
Get exclusive early access to this eerie new environment. Starting in November, the Dark Forest becomes a permanent addition and can be purchased with Bamboo, just like the other sceneries.
Grim Reaper MonkeySkin
The highly anticipated Grim Reaper returns from the grave! Once unlocked, it is yours to use all year round.
Note: The Grim Reaper MonkeySkin and Profile Icon are Seasonal Exclusives and can no longer be unlocked after November 1st, 2026. While they might return from the grave next October, there is no 100% guarantee, so make sure to grab them while you can!
What about regular Profile Icons?
Because the Merchant is sticking to a fixed Halloween inventory, the daily rotating shop is taking a break. This means regular Profile Icons cannot be purchased with Coins at the Merchant in October. However, you can still unlock them by completing Weekly Events!
Once November arrives, the traditional Merchant will return with his daily rotating line-up, and all regular items will be back in stock.
